January down time
January, a new year and new start for many. A time of the year when people up and down the country and across the globe set new goals and targets for the months ahead.
Moving home may be the last thing on anyones mind so you would think, however its a time of the year where folks have set their sights on pastures new. With the festivities now been and gone, families usually use this time to start looking for new homes. This could be upsizing due to family growth, or downsizing because the last remaining child has decided to flee the nest.
From a removal companies point of view things are slowww…we are left with lots of time to reflect and ponder on the months gone by and the months ahead. From our own personal point of view last year was such a learning curve for us all. With the stamp duty stimulus in full flow and the extension in April 2021 we and the industry was as busy as we will ever be !
As a small company and only 4 full time staff we struggled to cope with demand, we was hands on learning every single day, no down time just GO GO GO ! Then the Christmas rush came out of nowhere, everyone wanting to move before Christmas so the tree could finally go up and enjoy the holiday season free from stress and worry.
Whilst many did achieve this, many did not and this demand naturally fell into the new year. Most of our customers did achieve this so as a result we are extremely quiet this month.
With the downtime at our disposal we are hoping to implement a few new things into the business to help with demand and hopefully improve our customer experience whilst dealing with Craig Atkinson removals, we do appreciate it is one of the most stressful things you can go through and we do aim to give everyone the best possible experience.
