From Singing Ringing Tree to Sunny Bournemouth: A House Removal Adventure!

Taking the Singing Ringing Tree all the way down to sunny Bournemouth

Well, folks, it’s official—we’ve just completed one of the most interesting house removal jobs we’ve ever had: taking the Singing Ringing Tree all the way down to sunny Bournemouth. Yes, you read that right. This wasn’t just a simple move across town; this was a two-day odyssey that saw us hauling a house and a singing ringing tree look a like halfway across the country. And of course, because it’s us, there was plenty of singing and ringing along the way (mostly from our hard working crew).

Day 1: The Moor-mentous Start

We kicked things off bright and early, loading up the van in the shadow of the iconic Singing Ringing Tree (you know, that weird, wind-powered sculpture that sounds like a haunted tin can orchestra). Now, it’s not every day you’re surrounded by a monument that looks like it could come to life and start serenading you in a truly bizarre fashion. But when you’re moving a whole house, you tend to tune that out and focus on the task at hand—like figuring out how to get an entire living room set through a door that’s clearly never been designed with large furniture in mind.

Once we had everything packed and secured, we set off for the scenic drive down to Bournemouth. The weather was…well, let’s call it “typical British autumn.” One minute, we were being rained on by what could only be described as a “monsoon of small, angry clouds,” followed by sleet and snow, then next, we were in a patch of sunshine so bright, it could’ve been a mirage. But nothing was going to stop us. Not even the Turf Moor wind that felt like it was actively trying to blow our van off the road.

Day 2: The Journey Continues

After a well-earned night’s rest we continued our journey south, headed straight for the sunny shores of Bournemouth. The scenic views and occasional rest stop helped to ease the aches and pains of hauling everything up and down flights of stairs, but our destination kept us going. After all, who wouldn’t want to trade the moody Lancashire skies for some good old-fashioned sea breeze and beach vibes?

By the time we reached Bournemouth, we were feeling pretty good about the move. Sure, we might have misjudged the exact number of coffee breaks we’d need and ended up with a few more bruises than we’d like to admit, but we’d done it. The house was safely relocated, the furniture was in one piece.

Meanwhile, Back on the Homefront...

Of course, while we were off on this little adventure, other members of the crew were holding down the fort back in Lancashire, helping out locals in Thornton Cleveleys. We hear they’ve been working hard, providing stress-free moves to families in the area and possibly even dodging seagulls. We’re proud to say they’re also doing a great job keeping things local—whether it’s moving a sofa up three flights of stairs or helping someone who’s got a collection of vintage gardening tools that they “just can’t bear to part with.” The usual.

The Moral of the Story?

Moving a house from one part of the country to another is a big job, but when you’ve got a team that’s as dedicated and determined as ours, there’s nothing that can’t be moved—even if it involves a few singing sculptures and a whole lot of rain. We’ve seen it all, and no distance is too far. Whether it’s from Turf Moor to Bournemouth or just across town, we’re the team that gets it done with a smile (and possibly some weird singing along the way). And as for the crew still in Thornton Cleveley’s? Well, they’re out there, saving the day one local move at a time.

Until next time, folks—keep calm, and remember: if it fits in the van, it’s coming with us!
